While we are at it toggle the random emotes henchies do.
Kind of annoying when the master of whispers starts rocking the air guitar during a cutscene where I'm trying to get some good screens. :P

It progresses the story line and is a way of mergin cut scenes. Would you rather watch a cutscene that your eventially gonna skip or do you wanna play the game and just ignore and deal with the minor problem that this is. thats my two cents

[QUOTE=MithranArkanere]Rather than this, I'd like an option to make that lines appear ALSO in the chat window. I miss many of them because they speak out of screen and the text balloon disappears too soon./QUOTE]

I'll sign to that! I often wish it was in the chat window.

Oh, yes. I was lamenting the lack of this feature an hour after the henchmen gained their new "ability."

I find many of the henchmen's quotes are quite annoying, although it made me LAUGH OUT LOUD when I heard...I believe it wasKai Ying...anyhow, he said something like:
"How many Am Fah does it take to fix a wagon? Ten! Nine to steal the parts, and one to fix the wagon!"
xD among other humerous quotes I would like to see often
/signed if it could be disabled for each individual henchman

You have your right to turn them off, but I won't be doing it.
I wish we PCs could come up with one-liners that randomly pop up in battle. It would be great fun for RP gamers.

It's annoying that every hench/hero says the same thing over and over again

I'll /sign this because someone else who was farther in NF than I was caused a little bit of the game to be spoiled as they chattered on about Nightfall and Tahlkora's identity and such.
It's not a big deal, but if I could turn off hench/hero chatter, I probably would. At least when new expansions and such come out.

I wouldn't really care whether or not this was implemented, since I wouldn't use it but choice is always good. However, I don't think any of you have really thought about the technical side. I don't think this would actually be possible, since the henchmen speech shows up for everybody, and not just an individual person. It's not a part of the client interface, rather it is server side (I'm assuming). For instance, if you hide the interface on your computer, the speech will still display on screen. So getting it to display or hide, depending on each individual person's preference, would be quite a task.
Personally, I don't really see why it bothers everyone so much. Admittedly, I haven't played on lower resolution for a long time, and it never obstructs my view, so I don't know whether that could be the cause of your annoyance. And how much of the time do you actually need to be able to see an enemy? Most of the time, I'm looking at the skills they are using, and not the enemy itself.

Before you see the hench talk, you may lose a lot of those texts.
Once you have seen then once, you rarely want to see them again.
Because of that, I think that all NPC chatter should ahve its onw filter.
So if you want to listen to Danika's, Rurik's, Kormir's or henchmen and hero chat, you toggle the chat fiter on, and all of them appear in the chat panel along the screen bubbles.
You switch the chat filter off, and you never see NPC chatter.
That would be perfect for both that want and do not want to listen to those.

I love the talking the henchmen do, I find it very humorous. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a toggle option to set it off.
